At Home Verse we believe our customers should have the knowledge and understanding of what type of flooring is best in their homes. There's many different levels and rooms throughout the majority of homes in the Boston area; including basements, additions, 1st and 2nd levels. There are three main catagories of interior flooring solutions.
Each product has a specific place where it should and shouldn't be used within a home. Some areas of a home require a certain type of flooring, and this is mostly due to it's location.
Kitchen & Bathrooms
Most commonly used flooring materials are tile and tloating floors such as; porcelain tile, ceramic tile, laminate and vinyl flooring. These are used becuase they are waterproof, stain resistant and they do not get damnaged easily. These areas are more prone to getting wet and more dirty.
A basement is below the ground and is prone to getting damp and having water damanged areas. In this case it is not recomended using mterials that will get damanged by mositure or rot. Best flooring solutions are vinyl flooring or tile flooring
General Living Areas
For areas where lots of foot traffic takes place such as hallways, living, dining, and bedrooms; which occupies the majority of a homes surface area. Any type of flooring materials for these areas are suitable. Perferably, many home owners are moving from hardwood flooring to an engineered flooring due to its cheaper installaton costs and its lack of mantaince needed to preserve the floors.
